President
David Hoxsie is a degreed horticulturalist from the State University of New York- Cobleskill, a certified landscape professional, a certified landscape technician through the Professional Landcare Network (PLANET), and a licensed Illinois pesticide applicator. He is a natural communicator and develops great rapport with clients, employees, contractors, suppliers, and industry peers that he comes in contact with. He is a perpetual learner and teacher, continually educating himself, his clients, and his employees. David is well known for taking on clients that are unsatisfied with their previous contractor and spending the time to listen to the client, resolve the site issues, and allow the client to enjoy their landscape.
David was introduced to horticulture growing up through his grandparents’ Connecticut hobby farm. David spent weekends and summers helping feed animals and grow vegetables with occasional experiments in making maple syrup and keeping bees. In the same exploratory spirit, David enjoys trialing new perennial and shrub cultivars in his back yard. In 1998 David and Jennifer met through the industry and are now partners both personally and professionally. During his personal time, David likes to relax with his wife, play with his daughter, spend time with family and close friends, and play beach volleyball.

Jennifer Hoxsie, APLD
Landscape Designer
Jennifer Hoxsie is a degreed horticulturalist from the University of Illinois and a certified professional landscape designer through the Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD). She has a unique spatial awareness that combines elements of environmental psychology, architecture, and landscape design. Jennifer’s designs translate into imaginative, comfortable, and sustainable living spaces that integrate layered, sequenced, and framed plantings and views that are a joy to experience throughout the seasons.
Jennifer was introduced to horticulture growing up in rural central Illinois through her mother’s passion for indoor plants, her neighbor’s love of gardening, and her first visit to the Missouri Botanic Garden. Jennifer has been greatly influenced by her environment for as long as she can remember and delights in designing her own personal interiors as well. Jennifer likes to spend her personal time relaxing with her husband, playing with her daughter, spending time with family and close friends, and practicing yoga.
When you work with Jennifer, you can be confident that she is conscientious about delivering her best work and loves the diversity that each client and site bring.
Kris Harger
Office Manager
Kris Harger is a degreed horticulturalist from the College of Lake County and an experienced office manager. Kris also holds an Associates Degree in Accounting from the College of Lake County as well as certificate in Secretarial Services from Idaho State University. As the first voice that clients, field staff, suppliers and contractors are introduced to; Kris represents our company well with her helpfulness and knowledge. She is a natural organizer and a loyal employee who has become a trusted member of our management team.
Kris was introduced to agriculture as a child growing up on the family potato farm in Idaho. Kris helped her father out on the farm by weeding fields and driving the farms trucks and tractors. She was also active in showing Quarter Horses. After meeting her husband and moving away from the family farm she missed the farming seasons and decided to study horticulture. After raising her family, Kris now enjoys walking with her dog and experimenting in her greenhouse and garden.
