Construction & Maintenance Supervisors (Two Positions)
The ideal candidates for these positions have a two or four year degree in Horticulture (or equivalent experience), valid class “C” driver’s license (or the ability to obtain it), Illinois Pesticide Operator’s License (or the ability to obtain it). These positions involve multi-tasking and working closely with the owner to coordinate and supervise multiple crews. Some of the tasks involved are:
- daily crew schedules
- training crews
- material coordination
- quality control on sites
- plant layout
- seasonal annuals
- job efficiency
- fertilizer applications
- fleet/ equipment management
The candidates must take pride in their work, be a good listener, strong communicator, professional, conscientious, creative problem solver, detail oriented, organized, good follow-through, independent, and a team player in order to meet the high expectations of our clientele. We are also a family-oriented company with limited Saturdays. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in landscape maintenance, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to drive a truck and trailer. It also requires a competency or the ability to learn proper horticultural and maintenance practices including seasonal flower displays, mulching, dormant pruning, etc. The ability to speak English and Spanish are a plus. This position is seasonal and benefits include competitive wages, paid holidays, paid vacation, and growth opportunities within the company.
Construction & Maintenance Sub-Foremen
Sub-Foremen positions require a valid Drivers License, one year of experience, and the ability to speak English and Spanish preferred. Some responsibilities include assisting the Foreman with job site details, learning daily activities, and running the crew if the Foreman is sick or on vacation. Sub-Foreman positions are a great opportunity for self motivated individuals to learn from senior level foremen within our company and grow with us.
